Santaosan Forest Recreational Park

In fact, Santaosan is just a nickname by word of mouth. Qiuliangsan is the original name created by Chiu-liang Chen in 1937, and it became the first private recreational park in Taiwan. Mr. Chen loves Chinese novels such as The Journey to the West and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Based on the idea of Shuilian Cave (Water Curtain Cave), home of Sun Wukong (Monkey King), Mr. Chen assembled other people to brick by brick build a garden of Hua Guo Mount (Mountain of Flowers and Fruits). However, the signboard of Shuilian Cave is not large enough that the tourists probably pay more attention to the three stone-made peaches on top of it. Santaosan has gradually replaced and becomes the title of this recreational park.

Initially, the self-owned utopia was open for free. After taking over this place from his father, Mr. Kun Shang Chen expanded the business and installed super-fun amusement facilities. For example, you can overlook the surroundings in amazement while riding “the Aerial Bicycle” with goose bumps; you can sit or lie down to take a nosedive slide on “the Giant Silde” faster than THSR (kidding); you may pass a test of friendship to experience the ecstasy of shooting on “the Flying Tire”; you may try run like a hamster on “the Wheel of Age”.
